ACEOA assists with DCNR sponsored youth dove hunts by providing various items to make the event enjoyable such as door prizes for the kids.

National Archery in the Schools Program (NASP)
Archery is one sport that provides opportunities for youth to compete where size or individual athletic ability doesn’t give unfair advantage. ACEOA supports DCNR in hosting the NASP championship competitions.

Becoming an Outdoor Woman (BOW)
Becoming an Outdoor Woman (BOW) is a DCNR sponsored workshop designed specifically for women who want to learn new skills such as hunting, fishing, ATV operation, and many other outdoor activities. The instruction may start in the classroom but certainly doesn’t stay inside for long. ACEOA gladly provides scholarships for deserving women to attend these classes.

Kidz Outdoors
ACEOA donates annually to Central Alabama Chapter of Kidz Outdoors whose mission is “Forming bonds by linking family and friends to pass on our passion for the outdoors to a new generation. Raising funds for hospitals and research centers in hopes to find cures for cancer and other childhood diseases.”
Buckmasters American Deer Foundation Life Hunt
Life Hunts is a wish-granting service for children and young adults with critical illnesses and diseases. The program was officially founded in 1998 to grant hunting wishes and has served 148 children and young adults to date.

A very generous landowner, and numerous corporate sponsors, come together to host this annual event which has been described by many guides as “the highpoint of their hunting careers”. ACEOA gladly supports this worthy cause.

South Alabama Chapter of Heroes On the Water (HOW)
ACEOA donates to the South Alabama Chapter of Heroes On the Water (HOW), a national non-profit with over 80 chapters. They serve military veterans in Mobile and Baldwin Counties and their families. Their mission is: “To help warriors relax, rehabilitate and reintegrate through kayak fishing and the outdoors.”

Equip Alabama Wardens
Equip Alabama Wardens is a program which seeks to provide equipment needs for officers which wouldn’t be available otherwise. Every year Alabama Game Wardens safeguard landowners, citizens and wildlife resources on over 33 million acres of rural public and private lands, 563,000 surface acres of public waters and 77,000 miles of rivers and stream channels. The varied topography from mountainous regions in the North to salt marshes along the coast, all pose challenges in effective officer patrols and equipment needs. Contributions to this program are outside of ACEOA operating funds and specially earmarked by the donor for equipment purchases.

ACEOA Educational Scholarships
ACEOA grants up to five $1,000 educational scholarships each year. Applicants are limited to students pursuing careers in conservation law enforcement or wildlife or fishery sciences. Applicants should submit a letter of need with description of degree goals, email and phone contact information, proof of enrollment from the school registrar’s office and a student photo by July 15 for consideration. ACEOA supports numerous other local events and programs and is always open to funding new ventures that meet our conservation mission goals. If you have a proposal that you wish for the ACEOA to consider, please contact us by submitting a request describing your event or program , your organization’s goals in hosting the event, the location, date, time, and the expected number and ages of participants. Please fully explain your needs as they will be reviewed by the ACEOA Board of Directors. If approved, the ACEOA requests that you provide a few photos and a brief description of your activities so that we might publish in our magazine or social media. Requests can be submitted:
