CEOs in the Marine Resources Division help protect marine fisheries resources by patrolling Alabama’s coastal waters and enforcing state and federal laws. These officers also enforce laws and regulations consisting of freshwater fishing, hunting, boating safety, drug interdiction operations, and search and rescue missions. Marine Resource Officers are also called upon to assist federal agencies such as U.S. Customs, and the NOAA Office of Law Enforcement.
