view Jane B Artificial Reef Project In early 2019, the ACEOA employed a marine contractor to build an artificial fish reef for deployment in Alabama’s newly approved 6 – 9 nautical mile near shore reef zone off Dauphin Island. The contractor transformed a derelict tugboat and barge into prime fish attractant structure. This coastal habitat improvement project promises to pay big dividends for saltwater anglers over the next fifty years and beyond.

view Youth Dove Hunts DCNR Youth Dove Hunts have become an accepted way to recruit new hunters and encourage family participation in the outdoors. ACEOA tries to supercharge these events by providing snacks and door prizes such as dove stools, shotgun shells, decoys and occasionally a lifetime license to some lucky youth.
