Wildlife & Freshwater Fisheries

About

The Division of Wildlife & Freshwater Fisheries CEOs (Wildlife Biologists and Law Enforcement) are responsible for protecting, managing, and enhancing Alabama’s wildlife resources. The wildlife biologist officers help through research, management, and enforcement on Alabama’s Wildlife Management areas and by working with private land owners. Enforcement officers patrol their assigned areas to enforce state and federal laws and regulations pertaining to the conservation and protection of the State’s wildlife and fisheries resources. Both the biologists and the enforcement officers are key players in the role of hunter education and outdoor educational programs.
